Are you trying to find the details of a property that you have seen in the paper or where you have seen a For Sale or To Let board?  Or perhaps something more specific like a flat to rent near the train station? Or a family home to buy near to a particular school? Perhaps you want to escape to the country and have a list of your favourite villages? When it comes to property we all have different requirements. How can one estate agent help everyone to find what they are looking for – and to enjoy looking for it?

This is what we are aiming for with the new TuckerGardner web site. We know that you don’t want to waste time on properties that turn out to be unsuitable for you. Property details should be instant, clear and relevant.

Quick Find

You will see this option at the top right of each page.  So, if you have seen a property or are returning and quickly want to call up the details of a particular property just start typing the road or village and a little of matches will come up.  If there is a quicker way to get to the action on any other property site we have not seen it.

Search

For a more generic search of what’s available simple click on the BUY of RENT tabs on the home page or select Search from the top toolbar.  You will see a map showing the flags matching your current choices, hover over the flags and you can see more detail as you can if you zoom in.  All of the matching properties are also shown underneath the map with a photo and brief description.

Start moving the criteria sliders and you will note that both the map and the matching properties start to change as you filter your search.  No need to press go or search, it just happens.

Want to be even more specific? Then refine your location or locations by dropping one or even several pins onto the map. Once placed you can drag a pin to a different location or resize the area until it covers the exact region in which you are looking. If you want more than one place – no problem. Add as many pins to the map as you like. The properties in all of your search areas will appear on your search page for you to sift through. Of course you can filter the results by price and size so you only see the suitable ones.

The great thing is you can put your pin in a whole town, a specific street or postcode, or on a landmark such as a school or the train station. You can place a pin by hand or alternatively by typing in the search box. When you start typing you will see lots of suggestions to choose from, just like using Google.

Hear about new properties first

We add new properties to TuckerGardner.com every day and we don’t want you to miss a thing. When you have added all your pins, you can get updates about new properties in those areas whichever way suits you best: by email, by text message or through an RSS feed. Or if you are more of a tweeter, you can follow all the new properties to buy or to rent as they appear on Twitter.

It is so frustrating when properties online have a meagre gallery of small pictures and no floor plan. You want to see what it looks like! We have made large photographs and big floor plans the centre of our property descriptions so you can see instantly if they would work for you.
